Who books these

Most home visits are arranged by a son or a daughter.

Not by the patient. If you are reading this for a parent after a stroke or a discharge, this is the list you are checking them against.

  • After a stroke, while walking and transfers are still unsafe alone
  • After surgery — a knee or hip replacement, spinal surgery, a repaired fracture
  • Elderly patients for whom the journey itself is the hardest part of the visit
  • Anyone on bed rest, or in too much pain to sit through a drive across DHA
  • A patient who needs a carer present, where the carer cannot leave the house
  • Someone who simply has nobody free to drive them to the clinic and back

You do not need a diagnosis to book

You do not need to know whether it is the hip, the back or the balance. Finding that out is what the first visit is for — and it is the same full assessment that happens at the clinic, not a shortened version of it.

Call 0327 4349159 and describe what has happened. If physiotherapy is not the right first step, we will say so on the phone rather than charge you for a visit to find out.

What happens

The address changes. The treatment does not.

A home visit is the same four steps as a first assessment at the clinic, in the same order, by the same doctor.

  1. A full assessment, at your bedside

The same first assessment you would get at the clinic: history, movement testing, and a clear answer about what is wrong. Nothing is diagnosed over the phone before we arrive.

  2. Hands-on treatment

Manual therapy by a certified manual therapist. Both doctors treat with their hands first, and that is the part of physiotherapy that needs a physiotherapist in the room rather than a video call.

  3. Exercises you can actually do there

Built around the room you are in and the furniture you already have, so the plan still works on the days between visits, when nobody is there to set it up for you.

  4. A plan, and an honest number of sessions

Most courses run 5–7 sessions. You are told roughly how many it will take before you commit to the second one — and told plainly when home visits should stop and clinic sessions should start.

What we bring with us

Therapeutic ultrasoundHeating padsTENSEMS

Plus the hands-on manual therapy, which is the main part of the treatment and needs nothing but the therapist. Anything else portable comes if your assessment calls for it; the rest of the equipment stays at the clinic.

What helps on your side

  • A bed or firm surface the patient can lie flat on
  • A power socket within reach of it — every machine above runs off mains
  • Enough floor space beside the bed to stand and take a few steps
  • Whoever normally helps the patient move, in the house during the visit

None of this is a condition of booking. Tell us what the room is like when you ring and we will work with it.

Where we come

One fee, anywhere in Lahore.

Rs 3,000 a visit, first visit included, with no separate assessment charge. The clinic is in DHA Phase 1, so the phases below are the shortest journeys — but the fee does not change if you are further out. Model Town, Johar Town, Gulberg, Bahria: same Rs 3,000, no distance charge.

DHA Phase 1Rs 3,000
DHA Phase 2Rs 3,000
DHA Phase 3Rs 3,000
Elsewhere in LahoreRs 3,000

Being straight with you

Come to the clinic if you can.

A home visit is the right choice when

  • The journey itself is unsafe, or too painful to be worth it
  • Transfers, balance and walking are what need the work
  • The exercises have to fit your own rooms and your own furniture
  • It is early rehabilitation, in the first weeks after a stroke or surgery

The clinic is the better choice when

  • You can manage the journey without pain or risk
  • Treatment needs a couch at the right height, or equipment that does not travel — IFT, laser therapy, the IR lamp, the shoulder wheel and pulley
  • You are paying for a course — a clinic follow-up is Rs 2,000 against Rs 3,000 at home

For most patients the honest plan is both: home visits while travelling is hard, then the clinic once it is not. We will tell you when that point has come.

Specialist care

The specialist work travels too.

Not only general physiotherapy. All three of the clinic’s specialist services can be delivered at your address, at the same Rs 3,000 a visit.

Women's health physiotherapy

Treated by a female physiotherapist, and there is no more private room than your own. Worth knowing after a C-section, when the drive is the part of the appointment you are dreading.

Children & cerebral palsy

For a child with cerebral palsy, the journey to a clinic is often the hardest part of the appointment. At home the session happens in the room the child already knows, with their own floor and their own furniture.

Stroke rehabilitation

The commonest reason we are called out. Early stroke work is balance, transfers and getting an arm going again — all better practised in the rooms the patient has to manage every day than in a clinic they were carried to.

Who will come

A doctor, not an assistant.

Both are Doctors of Physical Therapy and certified manual therapists. There is no waiting list and no fixed notice period — the doctor on shift at the hour you want is the one who comes, so the time you choose decides who you see.

Questions

Before you book a visit.

How much does a home physiotherapy visit cost in DHA?

Rs 3,000 per visit across DHA Phase 1, DHA Phase 2, DHA Phase 3, and that is the whole charge — the same 40–45 min one-to-one session you would get at the clinic. The first visit is Rs 3,000 as well: unlike the clinic, where the first appointment is Rs 2,500 and follow-ups are Rs 2,000, there is no separate assessment fee at home. One flat figure, every visit, and the difference against a clinic session is the travel.

Which areas of Lahore do you cover?

All of Lahore, at the same fee. The clinic is in DHA Phase 1 so DHA Phase 1, DHA Phase 2, DHA Phase 3 are the shortest journeys, but there is no distance charge — Model Town, Johar Town, Gulberg, Bahria and the rest of the city are the same Rs 3,000 a visit.

Can you treat two people in the same house?

Yes, and there is a discount for it — up to 10% off on the second patient when both are seen on the same visit. Common with elderly couples, and with the family member whose own back gave out lifting the patient. Mention it when you ring so the slot can be made long enough for two.

Is there a discount if I book a lot of home visits?

There may well be. A long course of home visits — which is what stroke, post-surgery and fracture rehabilitation usually need — can be given a concession on the per-visit fee. It depends on how many visits your plan comes to, so it is discussed with you after the assessment rather than published here. Ask about it once the doctor has told you how many visits you are likely to need.

Do I need a doctor’s referral for a home visit?

No. You can book a home visit directly, exactly as you can book at the clinic. If the assessment shows physiotherapy is not the right first step, you will be told so on the day.

How much notice do you need for a home visit?

There is no fixed notice period, but visits are arranged around the slots that are free, so booking ahead is what gets you the time you actually want. Home visits run inside our normal hours — Mon–Sat 1:00 PM – 10:00 PM · Friday from 3:00 PM — and whichever doctor is on shift at the hour you want is the one who comes. Ring 0327 4349159 and we will tell you the earliest slot that is free.

Who actually comes to the house?

A Doctor of Physical Therapy — Dr. Maryam Tanveer or Dr. Mehwish Warraich — not an assistant and not a technician. The same doctor you would have seen in the clinic.

How long is a home session?

40–45 min, the same as a clinic session, and one-to-one throughout.

Can you come on a Friday?

Yes, from 3:00 PM, subject to the slots that are free that day. The clinic opens later on Fridays because 1:00 PM collides with Jummah prayer, so Friday visits run from 3:00 PM. The rest of the week is 1 – 10 PM. We are closed Sunday.

What equipment do you bring to the house?

Therapeutic ultrasound, Heating pads, TENS and EMS, alongside the hands-on manual therapy that makes up most of the session. All four machines run off mains power, so a socket within reach of the bed is worth having ready. Anything else portable comes if your assessment calls for it; the rest of the equipment stays at the clinic.

Is treatment at home as good as treatment at the clinic?

Yes. The treatment itself is the same: the same assessment, the same length of session, the same doctor, and the hands-on manual therapy that makes up most of it travels with her — as do ultrasound, heating pads, TENS and EMS. The one difference is the equipment that cannot: IFT, laser therapy, the IR lamp, the shoulder wheel and pulley, and a treatment couch at the right height. So for most patients the honest answer is home visits first, then the clinic once you are able to travel.
